How to: Quit without deleting AutoSave documents.
Solution:
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and press ENTER to confirm selection of the 'End Task'. Click 'Yes' to save changes to the document.
NOTE: Word deletes all AutoSave files with a normal exit. Therefore, to quit Word without deleting these files, a computer crash must be simulated.
1) Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. (A full screen message appears.)
2) Press ENTER to confirm selection of the 'End Task'.
3) Click 'Yes' tosave changes to the document. (Word closes, but when it is opened and the document is retrieved, the current changes will display.)
